Man United is preparing to acquire Matheus Cunha from Wolves for £62.5 million.

Manchester United are close to finalizing the signing of Matheus Cunha from Wolves.

Mail Sport reported in April that United were nearing an agreement with the Brazilian before triggering his £62.5 million release clause at Wolves. The club is expected to activate the £62.5m clause in his contract. According to Uol, Cunha is close to signing his contract with United, with the club maintaining financial flexibility ahead of the summer.

The forward, who joined Wolves from Atletico Madrid in 2022 for about £34 million, has scored 27 goals and provided 13 assists in 63 Premier League appearances.

When asked about Cunha last month, Amorim said: “I will not say anything about Matheus, because if I say something once, I would have to say yes or no to every situation.

“I will not comment on that. It’s difficult to predict what will happen in the future.”
