Familiar spirits surveillance: In the spiritual realm, there are different types of spirits, but one of the most dangerous types people don’t talk about is known as familiar spirits. They are evil forces that have latched onto families for so long, sometimes even for generations, causing havoc and destruction in their lives. In this video, I shall be doing a short teaching on familiar spirits, after which we shall be praying a powerful prayer asking God to dislodge them from your life. Keep watching to the end so that you don’t miss out on the prayers. So, without wasting your time, let’s get straight into it. A familiar spirit in a biblical context refers to an evil spirit or demon that is believed to assist or serve a witch, medium, or occult practitioner. The concept of familiar spirits is mentioned several times in the Bible, always in a negative context. God strictly forbade his people from seeking out or consulting with those who had familiar spirits. In Leviticus 19, verse 31, God said,

This verse clearly shows that God takes the issue of familiar spirits seriously. He knows the damage they can cause and wants to protect his children from their influence. It is called familiar because of its close association or intimate knowledge between its victim and the person it is serving. The way it works is that it acts as an insider, providing information to whoever assigned it. For example, a witch or a wizard might choose to assign a familiar spirit to a family. That familiar Spirit will observe its victim and gather intelligence to report back to the witch. Sometimes, they can hide within a family for years to the extent that they know everything about that family. In fact, not only do they know everything about that family, but they can also mimic the personality and voices, take the shape and form of a diseased loved one, and even supply vital information about their victim’s generations down the line.

Still n Familiar spirits surveillance: In some extreme cases, they may even masquerade as your deceased relatives. You might have heard stories of people claiming to have seen or communicated with dead family members. While it may seem comforting, it’s a dangerous deception. The Bible is clear in Ecclesiastes chapter 9 verse 5, For the living know that they shall die, but the dead know not anything, neither have they any more a reward, for the memory of them is forgotten. These apparitions aren’t your loved ones reaching out from beyond. They’re familiar spirits exploiting your grief and memories to gain further influence over your life. It’s a tactic as old as time, one that the enemy has used repeatedly to lead you to a dead end.

If you go and consult someone who practices dark magic to find out about your deceased loved one, that familiar Spirit will provide all the information, which, in turn, that person will begin to tell you. This will then make you the victim to believe that they really know a lot about you, whereas it is the familiar Spirit supplying all the information it had gathered about you. They’re called familiar spirits because they know the background of the victim or the family they are attached to. They are very used to your family history, your weaknesses, and your vulnerabilities. They use this knowledge to manipulate, attack, and destroy members of that family. The problem with these familiar spirits is the fact that they are very possessive. They sit quietly within a family for years but continuously cause havoc behind the scenes.

They behave as though they are the owners of their own family. The only way to kick them out is for someone to rise in the name of Jesus and send them out. But the truth is, these spirits don’t just leave without a fight. They are very stubborn and resistant. These spirits don’t just cause spiritual problems. Their influence can manifest in physical ways, too. They may introduce sicknesses that seem to run in the family line, mental health issues that appear generation after generation, or addictions that seem impossible to break. They might even influence your family’s behavior patterns, leading to cycles of abuse or dysfunction that repeat themselves through the years.

Still n Familiar spirits surveillance: Sometimes you might find a child that is born, and that child acts and behaves exactly as his or her great-grandmother or grandfather used to act. This is because the Spirit that was active in those grandparents has now found its way into the young child’s life. In Matthew chapter 17, the disciples of Jesus were dealing with a boy who had a familiar spirit that had been with him for a very long time. This Spirit manifested itself by making the boy deaf and dumb. But when the disciples of Jesus tried to cast him out-confirmation of their Pakistani beliefs and their own anyway referring to Jesus-it refused to leave. The Bible says, Then came the disciples to Jesus and said, ‘Why could not we cast him out?’ And Jesus said unto them, ‘Because of your unbelief.’ Then Jesus later said, ‘Howbeit this kind goeth not out, but by prayer and fasting.’ -This meant that this Spirit was not the average type of Spirit.

Matthew 23, 24. This was because the other girl was likely in the house of the king’s child, meaning the boy grew up with it affecting his life. This is what familiar spirits really do. They leech unto families and drain the life and blessings from families, often without them even realizing it. They enter into families and refuse to leave, while at the same time, they control and cause issues within that family. But how do these spirits gain access in the first place? Well, there are many ways they can come in. They can be assigned by a witch or someone who practices necromancy or divination. They can also come in when members of that family dabble in witchcraft or the occult. The door can sometimes be opened by someone within the family unknowingly, including your ancestors.

Perhaps your great-grandparents dabbled in practices that were contrary to God’s word. There may have been involvement in the occult, idol worship, or other ungodly activities. These actions can create an environment that allows familiar spirits to come in. These spirits can establish a foothold within that family line, and once they come in, they never want to leave again. The longer they stay within that family, the more they master the trends of that family. Over time, these spirits begin to direct and dictate whatever happens in that family. What makes them dangerous is the fact that they’re not even satisfied with affecting just one generation. Their goal is to extend their influence as far as possible down the family line. This is why you notice certain patterns repeating.

The more they stay within that family, the more they master the trends of that family. It may be a string of failed marriages, financial struggles that defy logic, or inexplicable health issues that doctors can’t quite explain. For example, in one family, you might notice a recurring pattern of addiction, generation after generation, falling prey to certain habits. In another family, it could be a cycle of poverty, no matter how hard they work or how many opportunities come their way. They keep losing it. These aren’t mere coincidences or bad luck. They’re the fingerprints of familiar spirits at work. Once they’ve gained entry, removing them becomes a challenge. It’s like trying to evict a squatter who’s been living in your house for years. It requires legal authority and power.

Thankfully, as believers, we have both in Christ Jesus. So, what’s the solution? The answer lies in the power of God and our authority in Christ. As believers, we’re not left defenseless against these spiritual forces. In fact, we’re given a mandate to resist and overcome them. In the book of Luke, chapter 10, verse 19, Jesus declares, Behold, I give unto you the power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. This isn’t just flowery language. It’s a spiritual reality that we need to grasp and act upon. Breaking free from familiar spirits requires more than just passive prayers. It demands action. We must act. We must act. We must act. We must act. We must act. We must act.

We must act. We must rise in the authority given to us by Christ and actively cast out these spirits. If we don’t, they’ll continue their destructive work, potentially extending their influence to our children and grandchildren. But the good news is, no familiar spirit is more powerful than the Spirit of the living God that dwells in you. In the first epistle of John, chapter 4, verse 4, we’re reminded, You are of God, little children, and have overcome them because greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world. This isn’t just encouragement. It’s a declaration of your spiritual status and capability. As we prepare to pray, remember that prayer is not just words spoken into the air. It’s a powerful spiritual weapon.

In the second epistle to the Corinthians, chapter 10, verse 4, we’re told, For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. Your prayers, backed by faith and the authority of Christ, have the power to demolish the strongholds of the world. Let us now go into a moment of prayer, trusting God to answer us and break every yoke of familiar spirits in our lives and families. Heavenly Father, we come before your throne of grace with boldness, knowing that you hear us when we pray. We thank you for your love, your mercy, and your power that sets the captives free.

Which declares, The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek. He hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound. Today, we proclaim liberty over our lives and our family lines. We declare that every captivity to familiar spirits is broken in Jesus’ name. Father, your word tells us in the book of Matthew, chapter 18, that we are not bound in heaven, but we are bound in heaven. Therefore, we bind every familiar Spirit that has been operating in our bloodlines. We lose ourselves and our families from their influence and control.

Lord, we pray that you will expose every hidden work of darkness in our family histories. As it is written in the book of Ephesians, chapter 5, verse 13, But all things reproved are made manifest by the light, for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. Shine your light, O God, into every dark corner, every hidden agreement, every generational curse that has given these familiar spirits access to our lives. We repent, Lord, for any involvement in ungodly practices by our ancestors or ourselves that may have opened doors to these spirits. We stand on your promise in the first epistle of John, chapter 1, verse 9. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Cleanse us, Lord.

Wash us clean with the blood of Jesus. Father, we come against every familiar Spirit that has been masquerading in our family bloodline and causing issues. We reject their deceptions and cut off all communication with them. Your word clearly states in the book of Deuteronomy, chapter 18, verses 10 to 11, There shall not be found among you any one of you who is not a man of God, but a man of God, and a man of God, and a man of God, that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. We choose to obey your word and reject all forms of communication with these deceptive spirits.

Lord, we pray for a breaking of every generational curse that has given these familiar spirits legal rights in our bloodlines. We declare that we are new creations in Christ.
