Young Woman Found Dead: The Bayelsa State Police Command has confirmed the death of a young woman whose lifeless body was discovered in a hotel room in the Igbogene area of Yenagoa, the state capital.
According to local sources, the victim had checked into the hotel with a young man believed to be an internet fraudster, commonly known as a “yahoo boy.” Witnesses claim the man left the premises shortly after they arrived, leaving the woman alone.
Hotel staff reportedly discovered her body several hours later and immediately informed the Igbogene Divisional Police Headquarters.

Police officers responded to the call and transported the body to a nearby mortuary. The identity of the deceased has not yet been disclosed.
Confirming the incident, the Bayelsa State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Musa Muhammad, stated that the case is currently under active investigation.
“We received the report yesterday. No arrests have been made yet, but investigations are ongoing. We are making concerted efforts to ensure those responsible are apprehended. An autopsy will also be conducted to determine the exact cause of death,” he said.
