VDM currently in EFCC: Lawyer Deji Adeyanju has provided an update on the arrest of social commentator Martins Otse, widely known as Very Dark Man (VDM).
In a post on his X account, Adeyanju revealed that VDM is currently in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). He stated that his legal team has discovered VDM’s location, but the activist has declined to see anyone.

“VDM DETAINED AT EFCC: Our legal team, led by the Head of Chambers @Marvin\_Omorogbe, just met with VDM’s friend who was arrested alongside him and is currently in EFCC custody. VDM refused to leave the cell, insisting he doesn’t want to see anyone. He was locked inside the GTB exit door for over five minutes to allow EFCC effect the arrest of him and his friend. We plan to pursue legal action against GTB for the inhumane treatment of our client. A public statement will be released shortly,” he wrote.
