Troops Arrest Armed Robbers: Troops of the 3 Division/Operation SAFE HAVEN have arrested four notorious armed robbers in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Major Samson Nantip Zhakom, Media Information Officer for Operation SAFE HAVEN, announced this in a statement on Sunday, May 25, 2025.
“As part of efforts to rid Jos Metropolis of criminal elements, troops of 3 Division/Operation SAFE HAVEN continued operations in the area with positive results,” the statement said.
On May 24, 2025, during a night patrol around Naraguta Area in Jos North LGA, troops arrested two armed robbers found in possession of one pistol. The suspects and the pistol are currently in custody.
In the early hours of May 25, troops apprehended a notorious armed robber near Crest Hotel at Corner Shagari in Jos North LGA, seizing one pistol and five rounds of 9mm ammunition.
Following interrogation, the suspect’s accomplice was arrested at Massalachin Idi, Ali Kazaure Area in Jos North LGA. A search of their hideout led to the recovery of another pistol loaded with five rounds of 9mm ammunition.

The suspects are cooperating with authorities, providing useful information to aid further operations against the criminal syndicate.
