Qatari Royal Gift Jet: U.S. President Donald Trump has responded to critics after the Qatari royal family offered him a \$400 million ultra-luxury jumbo jet to serve as Air Force One.
The offer came amid frustration over significant delays and rising costs associated with an order Trump placed with Boeing in 2018 for two new aircraft during his first term.
Trump appeared to signal his intention to accept the extravagant gift as he lashed out at critics in a fiery Truth Social post on Sunday night.

“So the fact that the Defense Department is getting a GIFT, FREE OF CHARGE, of a 747 aircraft to replace the 40-year-old Air Force One, temporarily, in a very public and transparent transaction, so bothers the Crooked Democrats that they insist we pay, TOP DOLLAR, for the plane,” Trump wrote on his social media platform. “Anybody can do that!”
Reports indicate that Trump plans to retain the aircraft for personal use after leaving the White House, with ownership expected to be transferred to his presidential library foundation at the end of his term.
Ali Al-Ansari, Qatar’s media attaché, stated that the “potential transfer of an aircraft for temporary use as Air Force One is currently being discussed between Qatar’s Ministry of Defense and the U.S. Department of Defense.”
“However, the matter is still under review by the respective legal departments, and no final decision has been reached,” the statement continued.
