Child pornography case Asencio

Prosecutors have called for a four-year prison sentence and a €58,000 fine for Real Madrid player Raul Asencio over alleged distribution of child p0rnography.

Child pornography case Asencio: Prosecutors are seeking a four-year prison sentence for Real Madrid defender Raul Asencio in connection with his sex scandal case.

Asencio is accused of sharing a video involving a girl who was 16 when it was recorded, despite knowing she had not consented to its filming. He maintains his innocence. The centre-back, who has been rising in prominence, started both legs of the Champions League semi-final against Arsenal this season after establishing himself as a first-team regular.

The video was reportedly recorded in June 2023 by former youth teammates Ferran Ruiz (22), Andres Garcia (22), and Juan Rodriguez (23), involving the 16-year-old girl and another who was 18 at the time.

These three are charged with unauthorized disclosure of secrets, violation of privacy, distributing and sending videos to third parties without consent, exploiting minors for pornographic purposes, and possession of child pornography.

Asencio and the other players were arrested at Real Madrid’s training facility in September 2023 following a complaint from the mother of the 16-year-old girl shown in the video.

According to reports from AS, Asencio—charged with revealing secrets and involvement in child pornography—faces up to four years in prison if convicted.
