Insecurity: President Tinubu holds meeting with Security Chiefs

Meeting With Security Chiefs: President Bola Tinubu is presently holding a meeting with the military service chiefs and the Inspector General of Police (IGP) at the State House in Abuja.

 

The meeting comes amid worsening security issues in parts of northern Nigeria, particularly in Plateau, Benue, and Borno states, where hundreds of lives have been lost in recent weeks.

 

It also follows the President’s recent approval for the immediate establishment and deployment of forest guard units to enhance security across 1,129 forests nationwide.

Attendees include the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa; Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede; Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar; Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla; and the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, among others.
