Leader taken by armed men: The Nasarawa State Police Command has confirmed the abduction of the Sangarin Dari, HRH Mr. Emmanuel Omanji, a third-class traditional ruler in the Kokona Local Government Area of the state.
The state’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ramhan Nansel, verified the incident on the morning of Thursday, May 29, 2025.

Nansel stated that the Commissioner of Police, CP Shettima Jauro Mohammed, has deployed the command’s anti-kidnapping unit, the military, and vigilante groups to carry out a search and rescue mission to recover the victim and apprehend the kidnappers.
He also urged anyone with helpful information to come forward and assured them of complete confidentiality.
Reports indicate that the Sangarin Dari was kidnapped at his home on Wednesday night around 10 pm by unidentified gunmen.
