Kebbi PDP Senators Defect: Three incumbent senators from Kebbi State—Adamu Aliero, Yahaya Abdullahi, and Garba Maidoki—have declared their intention to leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and join the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The declaration came after a meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the State House in Abuja on Friday, May 9.
The senators attended the meeting alongside APC National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje. Aliero represents Kebbi Central, Abdullahi represents Kebbi North, and Maidoki represents Kebbi South in the National Assembly.
Also in attendance were Nasir Idris, Governor of Kebbi State; Ahmad Aliyu, Governor of Sokoto State; and Atiku Bagudu, Minister of Budget and Economic Planning.

The lawmakers’ decision to align with the ruling party is viewed as a significant boost for the APC both in Kebbi State and within the broader national legislature.
