Patience Jonathan honorary doctorate: Former First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan, was conferred with an honorary doctorate degree in Psychology, Guidance, and Counselling by Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The honour was bestowed during the institution’s 43rd Convocation Ceremony, held on Saturday, and witnessed by dignitaries, supporters, and members of the public.
In celebration of the award, various women’s groups, including Rivers Women Unite for SIM led by Sotonye Toby Fult, organized a festive event in her honour, which featured singing and dancing.
A video from the event captured Dame Patience Jonathan dancing with the women as they chanted, “Na our mama be this ooo.”
Addressing the gathering in pidgin English, she invited the women for a group photo and refreshments, saying, “Make una come. Make we snap, let’s go and eat.”
