FCTA Still Hasn’t Reopened: The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has yet to reopen the national secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), 24 hours after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu directed that all sealed properties be reopened following their confiscation over unpaid ground rent.
On Monday, May 26, FCTA officials initiated a large-scale sealing of properties owing billions of Naira in ground rent. Among the affected properties were the FIRS office, banks, petrol stations, and the PDP secretariat.

President Tinubu intervened, ordering the unsealing of these properties and granted a 14-day grace period for defaulters to settle their ground rent obligations, along with a N2 million penalty. He also urged property owners to regularize their land titles within the stipulated timeframe.
Nevertheless, as of today, the PDP headquarters located in Wuse Zone 5, Abuja, remains sealed, with the entrance still closed.
