AEDC employee electrocuted while repairing electrical fault in Abuja

Employee electrocuted in Abuja: An employee of the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) lost his life after being electrocuted while addressing a power fault at the company’s Mabushi office in the Federal Capital Territory.

 

According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, the deceased, Mustapha Isa, was assigned to resolve a power issue around 5:50 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, 2025, when he was electrocuted and fell from an electricity pole, sustaining a fatal head injury.

 

A police patrol team was immediately deployed to the scene.

 

Isa was rushed to Gwarinpa General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by the attending physician.

 

His body has been deposited at the Federal Medical Centre, Jabi, for autopsy, while investigations into the incident are currently ongoing.
