To make matters worse, Ajefolakemi noted that all of the suspect’s known phone numbers had been switched off, leading him to submit a petition to the Assistant Inspector-General of Police for Zone 2, AIG Adegoke Fayoade. The investigative team promptly began work, tracing the suspect to Adoka Community in Benue State and eventually arresting him at his hideout in Ugbokpo Community.
All the equipment was recovered, including a Mindray SV 300 laptop ventilator (1 unit), Mindray 3-part hematology analyzer (1 unit), Mindray patient monitors (2 units), patient monitor trolleys (2 units), Zoncare 12-lead ECG (1 unit), and a Mindray DP 10 laptop ultrasound (1 unit).

In his confession to the police, the suspect claimed that the rest of the equipment was intact and had been stored with his sister in the Ihiala area of Anambra State.
The PPRO added that the suspect will be charged to court upon the conclusion of the ongoing investigation.
