David Ibiyeomie poverty statement: Pastor David Ibiyeomie of Salvation Ministries has asserted that Jesus despises poverty.
While delivering a sermon at his church, the Port Harcourt-based preacher stated that during His time on Earth, Jesus never visited the home of a poor person because He detested poverty.
He pointed to instances where Jesus visited wealthy individuals such as Zacchaeus, the chief tax collector, and Lazarus, who offered Him food.

How can you come to church with such a mindset?
It’s okay to come to Christ as a poor person, but it’s unacceptable to stay poor. It’s wrong for anyone to remain poor.”
