Akpabio Clarifies Legislative Role: Senate President Godswill Akpabio has stated that lawmakers were not elected to engage in conflicts with the Executive, but rather to support policies that drive national progress.
He made this remark in an upcoming documentary commemorating two years of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
“When you’re elected into the National Assembly, whether it’s the Senate or the House of Representatives, your constituents don’t hand you boxing gloves. This isn’t a boxing match. You’re expected to work collaboratively, across party lines, for the good of Nigeria,” he said.
