The suspects, identified as Abubakar Hussaini (42) and Sahabi Adamu (53), were initially intercepted by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) along Maiduguri Road, Wudil, Kano State. They were traveling in a commercial Golf 3 Station Wagon car headed to Kila Village in Gwaram Local Government Area (LGA) of Jigawa State.

During a search, the NDLEA team found the suspected fake notes hidden inside a Maggi Star seasoning carton. The suspects and the exhibits were then handed over to the EFCC for further investigation.
