NCoS Offers N5 Million: The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) has offered a N5 million cash reward to anyone who provides information that leads to the recapture of inmates who escaped from the Medium Custodial Centre in Ilesha, Osun State.
The escape occurred on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, after the facility’s aging perimeter wall gave way due to heavy overnight rainfall.
This was disclosed in a statement released on Wednesday, May 21, by the Deputy Controller of Corrections and NCoS Public Relations Officer, Umar Abubakar.
The NCoS appealed to the public to share any useful information about the escaped inmates with the nearest security agency.

The spokesperson emphasized that all tips will be handled with the highest level of confidentiality and anonymity.
“To encourage public involvement, the Nigerian Correctional Service announces a N5 million cash reward for anyone who provides credible information leading to the arrest of the escaped inmates from the Medium Custodial Centre in Ilesha, Osun State,” the statement said.
“The Service calls on the public to report any relevant information on the fugitives’ whereabouts to the closest security agency. All information will be handled with strict confidentiality and anonymity.”
