Donald Trump responds to Biden’s prostate cancer diagnosis.

Donald Trump has issued a response following former President Joe Biden’s cancer diagnosis.

After Biden’s personal office revealed that he has been diagnosed with an “aggressive” form of prostate cancer, Trump, 78, posted a message on Truth Social expressing support and wishing Biden, 82, a “speedy recovery.”

“Melania and I are saddened to hear about Joe Biden’s recent medical diagnosis,” Trump stated. “We extend our warmest and best wishes to Jill and the family, and we wish Joe a fast and successful recovery.”

Earlier on Sunday, May 18, Biden’s personal office released a statement—shared by Wall Street Journal reporter Ken Thomas—confirming that the diagnosis followed a medical consultation the previous week.

“Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms,” the statement read.

“On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone,” it continued. “While this indicates a more aggressive form of the disease, it appears to be hormone-sensitive, allowing for effective treatment options. The President and his family are currently consulting with physicians to determine a course of action.”

Several other political leaders, including Vice President Kamala Harris, have also responded to the news of Biden’s diagnosis.
