CBEX: EFCC Declares Eight Individuals Wanted

CBEX fraud suspects wanted: The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared eight individuals wanted over an alleged multi-million naira fraud linked to the Crypto Bridge Exchange (CBEX), a digital asset trading platform.

Those declared wanted include Adefowora Olanipekun, Adefowora Oluwanisola, Emmanuel Uko, Johnson Okiroh Otieno, Israel Mbaluka, Joseph Michiro Kabera, Serag Michiro, and Seyi Oloyede. They are accused of orchestrating fraudulent schemes that resulted in substantial financial losses for unsuspecting investors.

In a notice shared across its official social media platforms on Friday, the EFCC urged members of the public with information on the suspects’ whereabouts to come forward.

Reaffirming its commitment to tackling cyber-related financial crimes, particularly in the fast-growing digital asset sector, the agency stated:

“The public is hereby notified that the persons whose photographs appear above are wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for fraud allegedly perpetrated on an online trading platform called Crypto Bridge Exchange (CBEX).”

CBEX reportedly collapsed in April, wiping out over N1.3 trillion from investors’ wallets and leaving many Nigerians in distress.
